YouTube is showing support to Black creatives!
Beginning on June 21st, grant applications will become open for the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund Class of 2022 to help Black content creators.
If you remember, last year, YouTube’s $100 million #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund was created to help Black musicians amplify their voices around the world.
The great news is that creatives based in the UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria are elgible to apply!
In addition, YouTube has partnered with 1500 Sound Academy for an inaugural #YouTubeBlack Music Future Insiders Scholarship.
Through this partnership, 1500 Sound Academy and YouTube will fund 10 full-ride scholarships to the Academy’s Live Online 1500 Music & Industry Fundamentals program.
The six-month scholarship term will offer courses in music production, engineering, songwriting, mixing, music business, and more.
