Wyclef Jean Brings The Block Party At Range Rover’s Leadership Summit

It’s official!! Range Rover is unveiling their all new Range Rover, and we had the first exclusive look. On Monday, November 15th, Range Over hosted their Leadership Summit that took over the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, for an evening for the books. The festivities arrive in perfect timing ahead of the LA Auto Show, reeling in top voices across various verticals from musicians to athletes to leaders in the digital space.

After a successful day of discussions and panels, it was the cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour at 7pm that guests were most excited for. As the anticipation arose for the public reveal of Range Rover’s newest vehicle, President & CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America Joe Eberhardt got on the microphone to give his two cents.

“Good evening, and welcome to the fabulous Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and the public world debut of the all new Range Rover. It’s a pleasure to have you, some of our most loyal and passionate customers here in person. To be among the very first in the world to experience our icon: the completely new fifth generation Range Rover. But tonight is more than a debut, it’s also a celebration of you, the owners who have made Range Rover the global symbol of success and leadership. For the last 3 hours inside the Geffen theater, we held the Range Rover Leadership Summit and explored how modern leadership is being defined everyday across sports, business, culture, and so much more.”

Of course, who better to turn the crowd up than Wyclef Jean. Dressed in all-white with his matching fedora, the legendary recording artist took the stage to perform all his greatest hits, including The Fugees’ “Ready Or Not” which had attendees singing along word for word. He also made it a point to turn his performance into a block party, as he invited crowd-goers to come on stage and dance the night away.

A monumental moment for the evening arrived when he pulled his artist IDA TOLOU to sing the most beautiful cover of The Fugees’ “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” as Wyclef took his place on the keys. He also brought out Motown recording artist The Price to the stage, as we all celebrating 50 years of Range Rover’s legacy.
