The ‘90s is indeed one of the best eras of music!
There were so many great female and R&B groups that dominated the industry during that time. You could turn on almost any R&B/hip-hop station and hear songs from groups such as TLC, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, H-Town, Total, Xscape, SWV, and Mint Condition. It was just an incredible time for groups and music.
Fans of ‘90s R&B are rejoicing everywhere because their wish is finally about to become a reality. Xscape which consists of Kandi Burruss, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, LaTocha Scott and her sister, Tamika Scott and SWV (Sisters With Voices) includes Cheryl Gamble, Tamara Johnson, and Leanne Lyons are set to battle in an upcoming ‘Verzuz’ in May.

Finally, during her chat with TMZ, a reporter asked, LaTocha, “How did this all come together? Someone had to be pulling the strings. Who’s responsible?” LaTocha stated, “Actually, everybody’s been asking about it. You feel me? So, when they’re asking, we’re ready. We’re never going down from a battle. So, we’re ready for it. It’s great for the culture …it’s gonna be big y’all.”
When asked who won between the two groups with the superior catalogue, “No questions asked. Xscape,” she said. However, she shared that the fans would be the ultimate winners for sure. LaTocha went on to say, “People just love our voices…We’re all just sisters with voices about to make it happen.”
This Verzuz battle is going to be so huge and epic for the culture of Black music. The ‘90s will always be known as one the greatest eras of music.
