With a voice that effortlessly traverses the realms of emotion and melody, Tink has carved her own unique space in the music industry. She has managed to keep her devoted followers in a chokehold as evidenced in the success of her 2023 album Thanks 4 Nothing, a creative masterpiece produced by Hitmaka which garnered over 100 million streams. Known for her ability to blend a touch of modern day hip-hop with old-school r&b charm, the fiercely independent musical force possesses a true artistic vision that can’t be boxed in. In other words, Tink is keeping her polished foot on necks.

Today the multi-talented Chicago native, who has a predilection for delivering moody and diary-style narratives releases the Winter themed music video for her Billboard chart topping single “Insane.” The track is the third single off her most recent album Winter’s Diary 5 / EMPIRE. With its release in July 2024, Tink ignited excitement among her devoted followers who eagerly anticipated the continuation of her acclaimed mixtape series. Since her breakthrough with Winter’s Diary over a decade ago, the singer-songwriter has continuously evolved her musicality while staying true to her roots in heartfelt r&b. From the chart-topping success of “Treat Me Like Somebody” in Winter’s Diary 2 to her inclusion in the XXL Freshman class of 2015, Tink has consistently pushed boundaries and redefined the genre.

Blessed with a profound gift to combine music and storytelling, Tink’s first single off the project, “Charged Up,” made prodigious use of her ability to weave a tapestry of emotion, inviting listeners into her world of love and self-discovery. The second single “Songs About U” featured certified platinum singer-songwriter Summer Walker and reached Top 10 on Billboard R&B Charts. The relatable and richly detailed slow burner transported fans to a realm where heartache and desire sonically collide, commanding listeners to pay attention to their varying degrees of pain. Tink and Walker explored the subject of toxic love with raw emotion and melodic prowess expressing their own unique personalities, styles and attitudes. Together, they lament about the challenges associated with passionate relationships and sing their way through the depths of love’s labyrinth.

Tink’s personality, delivery style and lyrical content gives off a modern day form of femininity; while she’s expressive and vulnerable, she’s also confident and assertive. Other guests on Winter’s Diary 5 include Detroit rapper Skilla Baby, Deep South multi-hyphenate NoCap, and sultry R&B crooner Jeremih while production ranges from multi-platinum Hitmaka to Grammy nominated Bizness Boi and SkipOnDaBeat.

In addition to her irresistible new album which received almost 200 million streams globally, Tink recently concluded The Magic Hour tour alongside Jhené Aiko, a sold-out arena tour which spanned over several months. This tour presented an unparalleled opportunity for established as well as new fans to experience Tink’s dynamic stage presence firsthand.
