The Real Housewives franchise has always been our go-to for drama, catfights, and jaw-dropping revelations, and there’s a new contender in town for the crown of fan favorite: The Real Housewives of Potomac. Sure, we all have our beloved Housewives franchise, but Potomac is giving our OG fave a run for its money. So, what makes this suburban Maryland edition so special? Well, it’s got a generous serving of drama, a dash of entertainment, and a sprinkle of transparency.
As a loyal viewer, I recently had the pleasure of speaking with one of the stars of RHOP, Wendy Osefo. Now, Wendy has always been a breath of fresh air when it comes to Housewives. She’s as transparent as the Washington Monument and as real as an overpriced cup of coffee in the nation’s capital. From her marriage to her family and her thriving career, Wendy’s not afraid to show it all. And that’s what a lot of fans adore about her.
Wendy was candid about her relationship with her husband, saying that they’ve always been honest and open with each other. So, when it came to joining the wild ride of RHOP, they didn’t need a pre-show pow-wow to discuss what should stay hidden. They’re an open book, and they’re not about to start hiding chapters now.
But not all Housewives have taken the same route. Remember last season when Robin and her husband played “Hide the Affair” with an alleged lover? It was a secret that stayed locked up tighter than Fort Knox until after the season had aired. You can imagine how the fans reacted – social media went wild with speculation and opinions. The hypocrisy didn’t go unnoticed, and it left some Housewives like Wendy scratching their heads.
When I asked Wendy about this double standard, she didn’t mince words. She believes it’s incredibly unfair for Housewives like her who bare it all on camera to have to share the spotlight with those who keep their personal lives under lock and key Wendy’s got a point – we want the dirt, the tea, and all the drama; why should some Housewives be excused from the pot-stirring?
So, does the Potomac cast discuss topics they won’t touch on camera? Wendy thinks some might, but she’s not one of them. She’s all about giving us the real deal, and we can’t help but applaud her for it.
