The 6th Annual Black Spa Expo, held in Atlanta, once again brought together beauty, wellness, and spa industry professionals for an empowering and uplifting event. Hosted by the charismatic and influential Big Sexy Official, and curated by industry powerhouse Candace Holyfield, this year’s expo showcased the best of Black entrepreneurship, innovation, and wellness expertise.

As a thriving hub for Black-owned businesses, Atlanta served as the ideal location for the expo, attracting spa owners, estheticians, massage therapists, beauty professionals, and wellness enthusiasts from all over the country. The event not only highlighted the growing influence of Black entrepreneurs in the spa and wellness sector but also provided an invaluable platform for networking, education, and community building.

Big Sexy Official: The Energy Behind the Expo

Big Sexy Official, a well-known figure in the world of social media, hosted the expo with his signature blend of energy, charisma, and business acumen. His passion for elevating Black-owned businesses has made him a driving force behind the event’s success. Big Sexy Official’s involvement brought a unique flair to the expo, making it a memorable experience for all who attended.

 

Candace Holyfield: The Curator and Spa Mogul

Candace Holyfield, also known as “The Six-Figure Spa Chick,” curated this year’s event with her expertise and vision for the spa industry. Holyfield, a highly successful entrepreneur, mentor, and spa coach, has built a significant platform helping Black spa owners scale their businesses. Her work focuses on education, business development, and providing resources to help Black women and men thrive in the wellness space. 

Her curation of the expo emphasized practical workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on learning, covering everything from business strategies to spa treatments and wellness trends. Under her direction, the event provided attendees with tools to grow their businesses and insights on how to navigate the challenges of being Black entrepreneurs in the spa industry.

The expo featured an array of workshops, seminars, and live demonstrations, all designed to equip participants with knowledge on topics such as business growth, marketing strategies, financial management, customer retention, and the latest beauty and wellness techniques. In addition to the educational offerings, the Black Spa Expo was a prime space for networking. Attendees had the opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded professionals, forming new partnerships, sharing experiences, and expanding their business networks. The expo also featured a marketplace where Black-owned beauty and wellness brands could showcase their products and services, adding an entrepreneurial spirit to the event. Also, in attendance Yandy Harris CEO of Yelle & LaTavia Roberson CEO of The Queens Kollection also got a chance to network and enjoy this years spa expo as special guest!
