I can just imagine the aroma that escapes the crevasses of the southern style food prepared by Kardea Brown. The South Carolina born chef has been sharing her recipes on her “Delicious Miss Brown show,” that first aired in 2019 on the Food Network. She shares that she started cooking in her grandmother’s kitchen and now takes generations of family recipes and makes them her own. Miss Brown grew up with fourteen brothers and sisters and shares that she learned a lot from her family about cooking.
Carolina Smothered Chicken, super decadent mac and cheese, grilled pork chops, and caramel apple cake just name a few of the mouthwatering dishes cooked by Miss Brown.
On each of her episodes, Miss Brown welcomes viewers into her Sea Island home kitchen, as she demonstrates step by step how to make her scrumptious delights. Some of Miss Browns’ episodes have included guests like her mother, her aunt and a host of friends that have shared stories and recipes as well. Once the food is cooked and popped out of the oven, Miss Brown takes a bite and expresses how good it tastes.
Miss Brown became engaged to Byron Smith and is planning a 2025 wedding. She also recently shared news of her upcoming Southern Kitchen that is set to open in Spring 2025. Charleston Airport will host the grand opening of the restaurant.
So, are you ready to eat? I know I am. Miss Browns cookbook can be found on Amazon and her frozen entrees such as chicken and dumplings, smothered chicken and rice, and chicken cajun pasta are available at Walmart nationwide. Bon Appetit!
