At the age of 10,  Dr. Hattie was shown how to prepare meals from scratch with the use of fresh ingredients and love.  She has shared her home teachings in the recent release of her cookbook.  Each cookbook recipe gently walks you through how to create the delicious meal.  Such recipes include:  fried apples, buttermilk biscuits, peach cobbler and golden brown fried chicken.  

Her cookbook also includes a  “And Beyond” section that features recipes from family members; friends; and from her experience while living abroad in Greece & Scotland. This cookbook also includes a “Resource Directory” for ingredient substitutions and healthy meal planning.  Dr. Hattie’s cookbook is definitely a gem to add to your treasure chest of Southern Comfort.
