Ahead of Sunday Night’s game, Rihanna sat down for an interview with CBS mornings and hinted on having a surprise guest during the halftime show: “I’m thinking about bringing someone—I’m not sure”. Although she slayed the 13-minute performance without a single feature, she did indeed take the stage with “someone”—baby bump #2.
No one outside of Rihanna’s circle could have anticipated that the surprise did in fact have in store, would be a casual pregnancy announcement.
Before her highly anticipated halftime show there were mentions of a possible new album and tour to come after her Super Bowl 57 performance. Instead, while performing a medley of her greatest hits, arranged by revered musician Adam Blackstone, Rihanna wore a form-fitting bodysuit that proudly showed off her baby bump. Belting out some of her hottest hits like Umbrella, Diamonds and All of the Lights, live, nailing viral Tik Tok dances and being suspended hundreds of feet in the air is a feat all its own, but doing it all while pregnant is a whole another level.
Congratulations to the pop princess, can’t wait to see what other surprises she has up her sleeve (and see all her second-pregnancy fashion looks!)
