I can’t tell you how much time I’ve sat down at my vanity and spent a ridiculous amount of time attempting to get my makeup to look the way I want it. Sometimes I’m successful, most of the time I’m not. I just recently thought I would try incorporating a makeup setting spray into my routine. I know what you’re probably thinking, that I’ve been under a rock this whole time.
Makeup setting sprays have been around for a minute but I was a makeup user thinking it was just an extra step that really didn’t do anything. Man, was I wrong! I’ve been loving finishing my makeup off with a setting spray, especially lately with the summer heat. I’ve found that setting sprays have really my makeup on the face and ensures that it won’t slip and slide anywhere.
I’ve been loving these four makeup setting sprays lately and think you should give them a try because why not? Say goodbye to creases, melting, and cakiness because we’re making it a thing of the past. Here are my favorite setting sprays below!
Maybelline FaceStudio Lasting Fix Makeup Setting Spray, $10
This drugstore setting spray was one of the first I tried because of it’s affordable price and it completely shocked me. It promises to keep your makeup matte for up to 16 hours. Of course, I would not reccomend keeping your makeup on that long but it’s great to know this setting spray has your back. I find that it in someway, enhances my makeup looks and is super light on the skin.
Supergoop Defence Refresh (Re)setting Mist SPF 40, $14-$30
This setting spray has the best scent out of the bunch. It is a rosemary and mint conoction that is to die for. I always love spraying this. Its kept my makeup in place all day and it’s also a great pick me up during the long work day. I love how fun-sized it is too, which makes it great for a gal always on the go.
Merle Norman Expert Touch Finishing Spray, $23
I was super excited to get my hands on Merle Norman’s Expert Touch Finishing Spray and to no surprise, the product did not disappoint. I love how budget-friendly this product is for being such a high quality product. It is lightweight and comfortable on the skin and I find it great that the brand formulated a spray that is for all skin types. It does an amazing job of keeping the makeup on the face and also dries fast, which is always a plus in my book.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, $33
I don’t think I could’ve made a post about setting sprays if I did not include this OG product from Urban Decay. When this setting spray first came out, people went absolutely crazy for it and now I can see why. It is so comfortable to wear and gives your skin that healthy glow without appearing oily.
