Necole’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and growth. Hailing from the culturally rich Wadmalaw Island, SC, she has built a career that spans multiple industries and roles, from author to business leader, podcast host, and motivational speaker.

Her roots run deep in the Gullah culture of Wadmalaw Island, SC, where the unique dialect and history of the Cusabo Indians mix with the heritage of West Africans from Sierra Leone. It was in the Charleston County public school system that her love for creative writing began to flourish. This early passion eventually led to the self-publication of her first book, “Corporate Chics”, in 2008.

After earning a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Savannah State University, one of the most historic HBCUs in Georgia, Necole moved to Atlanta in 2008 to launch her career in fraud investigations at two major banks. By 2013, she had completed her second master’s degree in project management, all while expanding her skill set across various industries.

“Corporate Chics” wasn’t just a book—it was a reflection of her life at that time. While working at SunTrust, now Truist, Necole and her co-workers used an instant messaging platform to discuss everything from work challenges to personal life struggles. The conversations were so lively and entertaining that she decided to save them, and they eventually became the foundation for her book. The name, “Corporate Chics”, resonated with the women around her who were navigating similar corporate journeys, making it the perfect title for her project.

Balancing multiple roles—Serial Entrepreneur, Author, Producer, Podcast Host, and Non-profit Co-founder—might seem overwhelming, but Necole has found her rhythm. Like a true Libra, she uses technology and automation to manage her responsibilities. “I’ve learned how to say yes to what aligns with my life and no to what doesn’t,” she says, emphasizing the importance of maintaining harmony in both her personal and professional lives.

Necole’s book, Corporate Chics, is more than just a fictional narrative—it’s a reflection of the life lessons she learned while growing into adulthood in Atlanta. She was 25, newly independent, and learning how to navigate self-love and the challenges of corporate America. Each chapter mirrors a personal growth journey, with the intention of empowering other women to embrace their own paths.

Necole’s entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well as she continues to expand her influence. Through Upscale PR Media, she’s exploring government procurement opportunities with municipalities and schools, while also developing a tiered subscription service to support entrepreneurs in launching and growing their businesses. She’s also working on a new spiritual business that focuses on personal and emotional development and growing the “Prosperity Playbook” podcast with the Atlanta Voice News.

What started as a fictional book has now evolved into a full-scale business, offering marketing and business growth services. By shifting her model to focus on B2B and B2G opportunities, Necole continues to build relationships and invest in both her personal growth and the future of her business.

Necole has faced her share of challenges, including learning the hard way that not all entrepreneurs have the same integrity and that mixing business with friendship can lead to tough lessons. She emphasizes the importance of making decisions based on logic, not emotion, and trusting her intuition. Overcoming obstacles, she says, is a crucial part of the entrepreneurial journey and helps stretch your faith.

One of Necole’s proudest moments as a motivational speaker was being invited to be the commencement speaker at her high school. After writing her book, a former teacher was so impressed that she recommended her to the principal. This opportunity marked the beginning of many more speaking engagements.

Necole’s advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple: build meaningful partnerships, attend networking events, and always back up your work in the cloud. These tips, paired with dedication and integrity, will set any business owner on the path to success.
