Moneybagg Yo is the Certified Speaker, and it’s only right he takes his new album A Gangsta’s Pain on the road. Hailing from Memphis and signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint, Bagg has since skyrocketed to the top of the rap game — creating not only timeless hit records, but honest, heartfelt songs for audiences all around the world to relate to.

On Saturday, October 23rd, Moneybagg Yo took over The Novo in downtown Los Angeles, right across the street from the Staples Center where the Los Angeles Clippers played the Memphis Grizzlies earlier. (Coincidence much?) He kicked the show off with his smash single “123” featuring Blac Youngsta, standing on top of a money truck — those vehicles who go around collecting money from banks. Very on brand.

Bagg was a great entertainer, interacting with the crowd and hyping them up for what was to come. At one point, he reminds the crowd that he’s from Memphis and they had to treat him like he was at home. Throughout the evening, he made sure to show love to the artists under his Breadgang label by bringing them on stage with him to perform.

After performing fan favorites “Time Today,” “All Of A Sudden” and “U Played” (both featuring Lil Baby), and “Say Sum,” it was time to bring out the special guests. French Montana was first, who did cuts “All The Way Up” and “Pop That,” followed by CMG founder Yo Gotti with “Fuck You” and “Act Right.”

“Wokesha” ended the extremely turnt show, as confetti sprayed into the air. The real fans tonight were probably hoping to hear Bagg perform more of his deluxe, A Gangsta’s Pain: Reloaded, which released on all streaming platforms just one day prior.
