Congratulations are in order!

Over the weekend, rapper Megan Thee Stallion graduated from Texas Southern University in her hometown of Houston! The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper received her bachelor’s degree in Health Administration.

In addition to her accomplishment, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee [who spoke at the graduation ceremony] announced that Meg would also receive the 18th Congressional District Humanitarian Award.

In an official statement, Rep. Lee said, “This award has not been given out often or to many.” Adding, “That is why it remains a special part in our congressional district. The district has almost 1 million people. When this award is given, it has that special promise and special history. We are nothing in this nation if we don’t help our fellow brothers and sisters.”

Congratulations Megan Thee Stallion! We can’t wait to see the amazing things you will continue to do!
