Rapper Meek Mill, comedian Kevin Hart and Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin collectively donated $15 million to 110 Philadelphia schools in need. Both private and parochial schools will receive portions of the donation so that low-income students can receive an excellent education. As a result, thousands of Philadelphia students will receive assistance for the 2022-2023 school year.
This is a significant step up in the community effort set forth by Mill and Rubin. In 2020, the duo created a $2M scholarship fund to support students in Philadelphia, providing necessary resources during the pandemic. Great job, guys!
