Mara Brock Akil the woman behind the scenes as creator/showrunner for some of our favorite television series such as Girlfriends, The Game, and Being Mary Jane, has signed a multi-year overall deal with Netflix to create new original content, for the streaming service and we all excited.
The deal comes just ahead of the anticipated September 11 release date of her popular series Girlfriends on Netflix, celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary.
