The Book Of Clarence Movie puts a modern day twist on the biblical times and beliefs of believers and non believers. Lakeith Stanfield’s character, “Clarence” portrays a scammer who thought pretending to be like”Jesus” would get him wealth and honor. When Lakeith’s character, “Clarence” is condemned for being a fraud, he is held captive and told if he gave up “Jesus of Nazareth” he could gain wealth and honor. Clarence’s true character and heart is revealed through his many triumphs and tribulations that test his faith and reveal his true heart. This movie can be confusing for those unfamiliar with the bible and its stories but when you think about the modern element of this story it simplifies it. People feel the need to gain status and fame in today’s society. People need to scam to portray themselves living this type of lifestyle, and they do whatever it takes to gain wealth, status, and fame very similar to what Clarence tried to portray to gain wealth as he pretended to be like Jesus and his believers. I definitely believe this movie has a great message and it’s complete with incredible actors and plenty of laughs throughout the movie. I would definitely recommend this movie as a great film to watch with friends and family. The Book of Clarence is set to debut on January 12th, 2024 in theaters worldwide.
