Koryn left many fans wondering who the artist was going to be. Some thought it could be Kierra Sheard, Jonathan McReynolds, H.E.R., Lecrae, or Mail Music just to name a few. Fans were definitely excited to find who the remix was going to featured.
The incredible inspirational track “Speak To Me (Queen Mix),” is produced by award winning producer Johntá Austin, Troy Taylor, and Jeremy “TryBishop” Hicks, which brilliantly bridges in both R&B and gospel genres. “Some of the greatest movements in history have been when women supported each other,” Koryn stated during a recent interview with Rated R&B. She continued on, “I was so excited to work with Queen Naija on this project and hope this track will inspire other artists of various genres to collaborate and support each other, especially women.”
Naija also stated during the interview, “I was honored to be asked to get on the remix of a Gospel song being that my foundation started in the church, but I was also excited about getting on a song that I was a fan of already. I think it’s very important for women to support each other in general whether it be in music or any other industry.” The original version of “Speak To Me,” sampled “Speak My Heart,” by award winning Gospel legend Donnie McClurkin. The “Speak To Me” remix definitely has an old school R&B kind of fun chill vibe to it. The production is incredible. Such an amazing song for sure. It is fire! These two ladies are very talented.
