It was recently announced that Jada Pinkett Smith will be working on an exciting new project. Netflix announced that they have given an order for a docuseries about historic African queens from Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband’s Westbrook Studios, along with Nutopia.

Pinkett Smith will executive produce this new series. This new project is co-written by NneNne Iwuji and Peres Owino.
The new series will focus on one queen each season beginning with Cleopatra in the first season. The second season of the series will highlight Njina.
Both seasons will feature interviews with field experts.
At this time, no set date has been put in place for the premiere of the new docuseries.
