Variety has reported that Issa Rae, in collaboration with HBO Max and Miramax will revive the Project Greenlight docuseries.
The series, which gave the limelight to first-time filmmakers will turn it’s focus to female filmmakers in the industry. The original series aired on HBO for two seasons before moving to Bravo for the third season.
Issa Rae will be featured in each episode while serving as executive producer, and offer mentorship to these filmmakers throughout the show.
After, each completed feature film will premiere on HBO Max.
The revival will be produced by Rae’s Hoorae media label.
