The Hair Education Beauty Summit (HEBS), a premier event dedicated to elevating beauty and wellness through hands-on education and industry collaboration, returns for its highly anticipated second year on May 3–5, 2025, at the Meadowlands Expo Center.

This three-day event begins with an exclusive Black Tie Yacht Party sailing across the Hudson River on Saturday, May 3rd. This elegant pre-event celebration sets the tone for the summit, offering a unique networking opportunity for artists, educators, and attendees to connect in a luxe setting before the main event begins.

HEBS continues on May 4–5, inviting beauty professionals, students, educators, and entrepreneurs to engage in expert-led panels, live competitions, and meaningful networking opportunities with a focus on innovation in hair, skincare, nails, barbering, and other key sectors of the beauty industry.

Attendees will have access to immersive learning experiences across the show floor, including interactive areas dedicated to braiding, barbering, skincare, protective styling, color, nails, and more. Educators at each area will deliver demonstrations to attendees throughout the event. In addition, private classrooms offer in-depth learning with a more personal touch—each session led by top educators. The classroom education schedule is now fully booked, underscoring the demand for deeper, hands-on training.

R&B star K. Michelle will headline with a special live performance on May 5th. The summit also features prominent industry names, including Tokyo Stylez, Derek J., Larry Sims, Terrence Davidson, and Julissa B., who will share their insights during panel discussions and educational segments.

Notable guests include Jassi Rideaux (Real Housewives of Potomac), Claire Sulmers (CEO of Fashion Bomb Daily), Amara La Negra (TV host of “Desiguales”), and social media personality Antonio “Tony Talks” Baldwin.

This year’s summit will host four engaging panel discussions that spotlight relevant and powerful topics in the beauty industry, including personal storytelling in branding, the Afro-Latina beauty experience, hard-earned lessons from beauty entrepreneurs, and a candid look at the triumphs and challenges of working in beauty. These conversations bring together a diverse group of professionals and influencers for impactful dialogue and inspiration.

HEBS 2025 hosts a series of dynamic competitions that spotlight creativity and craftsmanship at the highest level. The Wild & Crazy Hair Competition boasts a $20,000 grand prize, while the Barber Competition and Barber Olympics each feature over $10,000 for top performers.

Nicole Shuler, co-founder of HEBS, states, “Our mission is to expand access to quality beauty education through unforgettable, interactive experiences. This year’s summit is designed to cultivate community and elevate every professional who attends.”
