A grade school educator with a Master’s in secondary education and a bachelor’s in history, with minors in political science and secondary education, from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, Keely has been reading urban literature since age nine. An avid fan of Wahida Clark’s since reading the first page of the Thugs and The Women Who Love Them book series during the summer before her first year of high school, she fuses her expertise in the complexities of family dynamics with a love for gritty, authentic narratives to craft a captivating fictional work that resonates with readers and reflects the struggles of triumphs of daily life.
