I started my healthcare journey 15 years ago, following in my grandmother’s footsteps as a nurse. I began as a home health aide, then became a nursing assistant, and eventually a practical nurse in 2015. After working as an independent contractor and travel nurse, I started my own nursing staffing agency in 2019, which took off during the pandemic. Throughout it all, I’ve always been passionate about beauty and skin health, and being a nurse pushed me to learn more about skincare and aesthetics—now, I’ve combined my medical expertise with my love for wellness to help others feel confident in their skin.
Congratulations on opening your medical spa, B Beautiful! We, at Sheen Magazine, the Ultimate Beauty Guide, live for all things beautiful! What inspired you to open your medical spa?
What inspired me to open B Beautiful was the desire to create a luxurious wellness space in Atlanta where women could feel beautiful, comfortable, and truly pampered. As a nurse and home health aide, I learned the importance of actively listening to people’s concerns and addressing the needs others often overlooked, which inspired me to pivot into beauty and wellness. This spa allows me to combine my passion for helping women with my medical expertise, creating a space where they feel heard, cared for, and empowered.
What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced in opening your medical spa?
Opening the medical spa has come with many challenges. I initially found a space in 2023 with the goal of opening that same year, but finding the right location forced me to pause and pivot. One of the biggest struggles has been ensuring that service providers—contractors, interior designers, marketers, and web designers—align with my vision, meet deadlines, and deliver quality work. Despite the setbacks, I’ve brought on the right people to get things done, and now we’re finally in the final stretch toward opening the spa.
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a business owner?
I excel at getting tasks done efficiently, staying organized, and putting the right people in place to bring my vision to life. However, my caring nature can sometimes be a weakness—I tend to give too many chances or hold on to the wrong people for too long. I’m passionate about helping and developing others, but I’m also growing in this journey by learning to balance that with a more analytical approach to building the right team.

I’m offering a unique, personalized experience with enhanced skincare treatments. Our exclusive, high-end skincare lines are not widely available, especially in this area, making the benefits even greater. What do you believe makes you/your business stand out from the competition?
Many spas charge high prices but fail to deliver satisfactory results, often leaving clients with little more than a temporary glow despite spending over $300. My goal is to change that by providing luxurious treatments that create lasting results well beyond the spa visit. With a passion for beautiful artifacts and thoughtfully designed spaces, I am incorporating elegance and artistry into my wellness brand, ensuring an experience that is as visually stunning as it is effective. What truly sets me apart is access to exclusive, high-value skincare and wellness products rarely found in Atlanta, combined with personalized treatments tailored to each client’s unique needs, delivering real, long-term skin transformation.
What do you believe makes you/your business stand out from the competition?
At my spa, it’s not just about receiving a service—it’s about a personalized, luxury experience from the moment you walk in. I want every client to feel heard when it comes to their skin concerns, not just receive a service based on what they pay for. My focus is on providing customized treatments that address individual needs while also educating clients on how to maintain and rejuvenate their skin. When you leave, you’ll not only feel refreshed and glowing, but you’ll also have the knowledge and tools to keep your skin healthy.
If you had an extra hour in the day, how would you spend it?
Rest is essential. To be fully energized, productive, and in the right mindset to excel, you must take time to recharge. I work in an industry that promotes mental clarity, wellness, and relaxation, so it’s important for me to practice what I preach. I would use that extra hour to rest and reset, ensuring I can continue delivering the best experience to my clients.
What are your spa beauty essentials that you cannot live without?
I cannot live without an exfoliant—it’s a must-have! My go-to is the Valmont exfoliant, which is one of the best for maintaining smooth, radiant skin.

The grand opening will be an immersive experience like no other! What gives your life meaning and what is next for you?
Right now, my greatest joy is being eight months pregnant and preparing to become a mom. I’ve always dreamed of having a daughter to share skincare, beauty, and life experiences with, and building generational wealth for her gives my life even more purpose. Next, I’m focused on expanding my spa and using this vision to inspire women to believe in themselves and achieve their dreams.
