OSEA Malibu: Skincare from the Sea. Literally. And it’s just as lush as it sounds. OSEA Malibu has been my skincare routine for the past week and a half, and I’m in love. When it comes to my skin, I tend to be a minimalist, and with OSEA’s holistic philosophy that is inspired by and integrates elements of the earth and sea, I couldn’t wait to indulge. For a lot of us, it’s frigid and dry outside, and this harsh winter weather will not let up! Giving my skin a little switch up to OSEA has easily become a highlight to my month.

My combination-type skin can sometimes be product picky, so I was impressed by OSEA’s super clean face and body essentials that left no irritation or breakouts behind. In less than two weeks, my skin not only looks but feels noticeably softer and hydrated. I’m a huge fan of high-quality yet simple products, and these clean, citrusy essentials are undoubtedly ones that you need to add to your skincare routine. I tried two face and two body essentials from OSEA Malibu, and my thoughts and how to use each are below!
Girl, you need to get into this:
I start the day with OSEA’s Ocean Cleanser, massaging 2-3 pumps onto my damp skin, followed by a warm water rinse. The sweet green scent is what really makes this gentle exfoliant refreshing. It gives my skin the perfect balance it needs to combat both dryness and an oily T-zone. Best for normal, dry, and combination skin types, the pH balancing formula infused with vegan lactic acid minimizes the appearance of pores while also removing surface impurities and excess oils. I love that it also cleans off makeup really well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture. Use daily morning and night, then follow up with the Hyaluronic Sea Serum and a moisturizer!
Ocean Cleanser, $48 (2 Sizes available)
The Hyaluronic Sea Serum is my favorite. This award-winning, potent serum is perfect for all skin types. It is made with the miracle ingredient hyaluronic acid, which gives our skin its structure, keeps it hydrated, increases elasticity, and is actually naturally produced by the body. I tend to stay away from serums because I found that a lot of them would dry, flaky or sticky on my skin in previous experiences. But after using OSEA’s sea serum, my skin immediately feels firm, refreshed, and radiant. I think it being water-based has something to do with that. While smoothing fine lines and creating a visible lift, this fragrance-free formula absorbs in seconds (Yes, seconds!). After washing with the Ocean Cleanser, I take a drop or two of the Hyaluronic Sea Serum with the pipette dropper for a precise application. Next, I evenly spread the serum all over my face and neck with my fingers, showing extra love to my under-eye fine lines. There are many benefits to hyaluronic acid, and it’s definitely an essential you’ll want in your skincare routine.

If you haven’t added the luxury of body oils to your regimen yet…this is your sign to do so. The Undaria Algae Body Oil softens and firms the skin while giving it a luminous glow. I love this body oil because it is a rich consistency but not at all greasy. It’s absorbent, and I am obsessed with the energizing smell that has notes of grapefruit, lime, and cypress. After showering in the morning, I lather the seaweed-infused body oil onto my damp (not dry) skin, and I am ready to glow for the day.

I’m a “more is more” kind of girl when it comes to moisturizing my body, so for extra coverage, I follow up with the Undaria Algae Body Butter. I take about two nickel-sized scoops to melt into my skin, and that’s about enough to cover my whole body. The age-defying body butter is clinically proven to hydrate for 72 hours and trust me, you’ll be satin-soft.
