Reanna Nicholson began a journey of self-care and fitness back in 2012, just after the murder of her father. She put her attention on God and training, which were her sole methods of grieving. She then went on to do her first fitness competition and from that point, Nicolson’s passion for health matured into what’s known today as FitRee Fitness, a fitness organization dedicated to the wellness of women all over the world. SHEEN had the pleasure of speaking exclusively with this vibrant owner to talk all things health and positivity.

How important is health in your home and in your community?

Contrary to what people may think, I don’t force my family to eat how I desire. However, they enjoy eating clean because it truly does make them feel good. My husband enjoys his nighly PB&J and my daughter her fruit snacks. But for breakfast, lunch, and dinner we definitely eat lean protein, complex carbs, and veggies. My husband and I are 14 years apart, so it’s important to me that he does at least a 70/30 split when it comes to eating clean and indulging in his favorite cocktail or snacks. My daughter, like all kids wants to be just like me, so she loves all veggies, fruit, salads, and will remind my husband quickly, “Daddy, that’s too much sugar.” He says we gang up on him (laughs), but it’s all love because we want to spend our lifetime with him.
