Big George Foreman movie is the story of the Heavyweight Champion of the world that lost it all and made one of the most unheard comebacks of the world just based on his faith in God. He just further proved the saying work without faith is dead is true.
Fueled by an impoverished childhood, Foreman channeled his anger into becoming an Olympic Gold medalist and World Heavyweight Champion, followed by a near-death experience that took him from the boxing ring to the pulpit. Foreman returns to the ring and makes history by reclaiming his title, becoming the oldest and most improbable World Heavyweight Boxing Champion ever.
Foreman was a very angry kid and that anger followed him all the way up to his adult years. While he was able to turn that anger into something great, it also could have gone terribly wrong like most young black boys that grow up in poverty. “People don’t understand what it is to live without hope, potential, and expectations. It didn’t even exist about success. So what do you have to replace it with, angry.“ Foreman shared. Foreman’s story is not only inspiring to the world, but it also hit differently for a young black boy growing up poor thinking he will never be more than his environment. In reality, that’s how most of our black kids in poverty feel growing up, that there is no hope.
“It even enabled me to be Heavyweight Champion of the world the first time around, oh but when I found faith in God. I don’t know how I made it in boxing without faith”, Foreman stated.
When Foreman found his faith he briefly became a pastor and gave up on boxing. Without giving away too much of this great film, God led Foreman back to the ring and gave him the strength to win Heavyweight a second time at 45 years old which is the oldest boxer to ever do it.
