Atlanta, GA is STILL the MVP for themed events and experiences, curated for the business and entrepreneur communities! This one in particular happened to be a Pre-Mother’s Day kick-off and Honorary Celebration for women of color in business!
This annual event took place at Twelve Midtown Hotel and was presented by none other than The Sistahs in Business Expo, who originally got started out of Newark, NJ! This year’s Brunch featured an authentically executed fire-side chat with Mama Boss Koereyelle! — She shared insight on her day to day Mommy schedule and parenting plan. She discussed her family’s choice to hire a live-in nanny to help with the day to day agenda, which she explained is never the same.
Koereyelle discussed the importance for her to spread herself evenly throughout her roles, making sure always that her family is first. She expressed her embrace of getting help where help is needed and of accepting that we don’t have it all figured out.
The MAMApreneur Brunch featured a powerhouse MAMApreneur panel, a fully catered Brunch spread, eclectic vendors, profound entertainment by Black Woman violinist Joy Black, and upbeat, feel-good music to guide the rest of the process. The SIBEXPO is known for their consistently engaging sounds and jams! They get the “party” going amongst like-minded, goal driven women. The atmosphere is perfect for reciprocity and true women empowerment!
The SIB founder and curator, Aisha Taylor Issah is also a MAMApreneur and understood the need for events like this to bring the community of mothers in business together. Everything SIBEXPO is rooted in support and quality resources that look like US!
