Looks like Empire will be closing their curtain earlier than expected. The popular FOX drama is currently in it’s sixth anf final season.
Because of the current pandemic, production has been shut down and will not start back up to shoot the series finale.
Just yesterday, FOX teased the series wrap to happen on April 21st with their 18th episode. Season six was ordered to have 20 episodes and production was stopped while making the series’ 19th episode of their sixth season.
Deadline has reported that episode 18 will include footage already shot for the 19th episode to craft and ending for the series.
