Our supernatural power exists whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, but often is buried under learned behavior from years of constant influence from others rather than ourselves. Societal pressures telling us who we should be, how we should be, and when we should be it.
Identity is an elusive concept. We feel we must define ourselves as one of the few roles that exist in traditional society. However, those identities are eluding to the notion of not being our authentic selves, not owning every power we have so we can fit in with a certain segment, even if none accurately represents our notion of our spiritual gifts. The confusion surrounding our true nature is further compounded by what we are often told to suppress, like our emotional, intellectual, and spiritual vibrancy. Yet we are, in truth, beings of light—pure energy inhabiting physical bodies, striving for enlightenment while living earthly lives. When we recognize our supernatural power, our luminosity, and our divinity, we cannot help but live in our authenticity of appreciation, potential, fulfillment, and grace.
At birth and throughout your childhood, your thoughts and feelings were more than likely a pure expression of your true self. Even though we may have learned quickly that to speak and act in a certain fashion would win others approval, we tend to innately comprehend that we, nor any other being on this planet, we are not ordinary. There are many ways we can embrace our supernatural power with authenticity once we speak, give and share so freely. Meditation can liberate us from the shackles and bonds of those earthly customs that compel us to downplay our supernatural uniqueness. Also, communing with nature can remind us of the special role we were meant to play in this lifetime on this earth in particular. In order to realize our powerful supernatural purpose, we must embrace it by letting our light shine forth, no matter the societal backlash it may have.
Rediscovering who we are, apart from our daily roles and learned traits, takes time but most importantly courage. We have denied the “Real Supernatural Us” for too long of a time that we may find it difficult to dissect who that actually is for us individually. Once we connect and embrace our unique power, we feel a wonderful sense of wholeness as it means we are finally reconciling our spiritual aspect with our physical body, our inner- and outer-world alignment, as it interacts in the world. As we gradually embrace, align and give power back to this developing power, our role as a being of light will begin to reveal itself and the marvelous destiny we have in this lifetime to us. Finding that level of freedom is what is truly a blessing.
