What do you define as success?
Allison: Success, for me, is about creating lasting, meaningful impact. It’s not just about financial gains but about how much we’ve helped businesses grow, fostered relationships, and supported the communities we serve. Seeing the ripple effect of our work is the ultimate measure of success.
What was the inspiration behind your company?
Allison: The inspiration behind AMI came from my passion for both branding and community building. After years in banking and seeing firsthand how vital trust and relationships are to business success, I knew I wanted to create a company that could help brands cultivate the same level of connection with their audiences. The idea of combining business strategy with personal branding and community outreach felt like the perfect fit.
Do you believe in work-life balance? If so, how do you maintain it?
Allison: Absolutely. I believe that balance is key to sustained success, both personally and professionally. I maintain it by prioritizing my faith, family, and health alongside my business responsibilities. Time management and setting boundaries are also crucial in making sure I stay centered and energized.
What’s your best piece of advice for aspiring and new entrepreneurs?
Allison: My best advice is to remain authentic and true to your values. In business, there will always be challenges, but if you stay rooted in your purpose and are willing to learn, adapt, and build meaningful connections, you will find success.
Who is your business role model? Why?
Allison: I admire Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx. Her story of persistence, resilience, and innovation is incredibly inspiring. She started her company with a small idea and turned it into a billion-dollar brand, all while staying grounded in her mission and values.
What is your proudest business accomplishment?
Allison: One of my proudest accomplishments was successfully transitioning from my corporate career into entrepreneurship and founding AMI. It was a leap of faith, but seeing the impact we’ve had on clients and communities has made it all worthwhile.
What events do you have coming up?
Allison: I’ll be spending time with young women at the Future Leaders Forum on Saturday, sharing my experiences and lessons in leadership. It’s an opportunity I’m particularly excited about, as I believe in nurturing the next generation of leaders.
