Ascendant R&B star Day Lee readies his forthcoming EP with a brand new single, titled “Fill The Void,” out now via Sincerely Yours – Listen HERE. Primed for widespread acclaim, the project is due this summer, serving as his label debut and first full-length release of 2025.
On the inspiration behind his latest offering, Day Lee states, “This song is about that one person you just can’t shake — the one you’ve stayed exclusive for, even when things get complicated. It’s about proving that no matter how many people have tried and failed to be what they need, I’m the one who truly gets them. I’m the one who should be there tonight.”
Hailing from the Lower East Side, Day Lee has an uncanny ability to create music that’s imbued with dreamlike wonder. The new record is anchored by soulful melodies, featuring vibrant synthesizers shimmering over a light drum groove. From start to finish, it feels as intimate as a late-night conversation that fully dives into themes of romantic longing and desire.
“Fill The Void” heralds a new chapter in Day Lee’s musical journey as he maintains his hallmark of authenticity. From early beginnings singing in the church choir to studio sessions with the late PnB Rock, and collaborations with Lil Tjay, OhGeesy, and Roddy Ricch, he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Stream “Fill The Void” and stay tuned for more from the New York-bred singer-songwriter.
ABOUT DAY LEE
Day Lee is an emerging artist whose sound is as rich and soulful as his roots. Though Lee started playing instruments by ear, it wasn’t until high school that he began to take his craft seriously. A pivotal moment came when he stepped into a real studio for the first time, realizing this was the world he wanted to be a part of. Mentored by the likes of late rapper PnB Rock, Lee’s career jump started with 2018’s Way Of Vol. 1, which positioned him on radars far beyond his local market. The follow-up, Way Of Vol. 2, would arrive two years later. Despite a temporary hiatus, music remained a constant thread in his life. And in 2023, Lee returned with his latest project, Worse Than It Seems. Raw yet refined, this release explored fresh musical landscapes with deep introspection, representing an evolution in his artistry. Pairing up with rising stars like Stunna Gambino and Lil Tjay, as well as established artists like OhGeesy and Roddy Ricch, he has developed a reputation for blending intricate storytelling with textures that feel both nostalgic and innovative. Now, with renewed vigor and inspiration, Day Lee is looking forward to continuing his journey, creating music that’s real and relatable: “I want people to hear my music and feel like there is someone who is going through everything with them.”
