“I wrote the song to celebrate the fun and freedom that weekends bring

When Morgan Janay stood center stage at the largest artist showcase in the world, Coast 2 Coast Live, she stood in her truth – that she is a talented, creative, versatile, and highly skilled artist with a stage presence just as energetic and engaging as her latest music release The Weekend. She won the highly competitive competition and continues to win in her music endeavors with a proven track-record of numbers, viewership and a powerful fan base across social media platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube that catapulted her into over 1.5 million monthly engagements.

Her latest single The Weekend starts off with the smooth, inviting sound of a piano introduction. The relaxed ambiance sets the tone for listeners to truly feel the music as a trio of powerhouse producers including  4X Grammy Award-Winning producer Michael “Miykal” Snoody, Producer J’Nauti, and I Am Tra Beats crafted the beat to set the perfect tempo and create a rich and engaging sound experience that has fans in awe.

You know it all goes down on the weekend/ so we can all go meet up on the weekend/ call somebody and tell them about the party so we can meet up on the weekend … end … end/ The Weekend …. end/ You know it all goes down on the weekend,” she sings in the hook.

Inspired by Morgan Janays creativity and curiosity about what people do on the weekend, Morgan Janay tells Sheen “People have more time to themselves and I wanted to capture that feeling. The catchphrase “It all goes down on the weekend” came from that idea. I wrote the song to celebrate the fun and freedom that weekends bring.”

I bet you’re putting on your favorite dress/ Got your suit jacket on and you tryna impress/ Oooh you know you’re doing what you’re doing when you do it baby/ and when we pull up in the spot you know it’s going crazy/ cause we gonna party and tell somebody in the coop that we’ll be jumping out the Bugatti,” she exclaims as she sings the bridge.

It’s a song that she describes as fun as she reflects on her journey. It’s the journey of a persistent independent artist who started out 6 years ago with the release of her first single Do It, followed by Ghost Town, Magic Sound, Melodic Energy, On My Way and now her latest The Weekend. With appearances on Fox 5 Atlanta, Fox Soul’s The Portia Show and The Morning Machine at Morris Brown College it’s clear that the rising star is in-demand and on-demand.

When the multi-hyphenate recording artist took to her fanbase on IG to announce her latest single, fan love poured in from all around the world. “You are  witnessing the making of a hit song…,” she wrote. “Keep up the good work, sounding groovy…,” one fan wrote. Another fan commented “Amazing.” With strong social media engagement, it’s clear that Morgan Janay is a consistent attention grabber and attracts music lovers from all around the globe.

Here to encourage her listeners who struggle to find their voice and platform, Morgan Janay feels blessed to have the opportunity to use her voice to uplift and inspire others. “You’re not alone!
