We caught up with the busy entrepreneur to see what has been keeping him busy in 2020. Here’s what he had to say about his projects and future plans.
Tell us a little bit about your background?
I graduated from Nyack college with a B.S. in business administration. I’ve worked in the medical field as an administrative assistant and have been in the hospitality management field for the last 6 years.
What was the reason you decided to pursue a media career?
I always tell people that media found me. I’ve always had a passion for speaking and connecting with people. I didn’t think that my willingness to listen to people’s stories would provide a platform for so many other opportunities, not just for myself, but, within the entire community.
Do you have any favorite guests?
My favorite guests would have to be Alexis Hollins and Cocoa Brown.
How has the pandemic impacted you and your industry?
When the pandemic first hit it put everything I had planned on hold (My 3rd season with a LIVE studio audience) but it allowed me to find the beauty in simplicity and it gave me room to create something that has allowed me the opportunity to still connect with my audience on an intimate level.
Congratulations on being honored for your humanitarian spirit and efforts! What motivates you to give back and what causes are close to you heart?
Giving back to families living in lower income/impoverished neighborhoods as well as giving back to our young people living in those same unfortunate circumstances are just a few causes that I love contributing to. The reality of the situation motivates me to give back. To look at these individuals and see myself, my mother, my brother, my family motivates me to give back. To know that at any given moment that could be me motivates me.
Who would be your dream interviewee?
My dream interviewee would have to be Fantasia. I have admired this woman from the first time I saw her audition for American Idol and to see how far she has come even when every obstacle was thrown at her inspires me to press on.
Do you have any advice for someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?
There is room enough in this world for all of us to win so never be afraid to create your own lane.
Is there anything you’d like to tell us as far as your future plans?
We will be holding our very first “Wonderland Extravaganza & Toy Drive” on December 20th in NYC for kids ages 7 to 14. Please contact us at Courtneyscorner89@gmail for more information.
