Multiplatinum-selling recording artist Cory Gunz is back with another banger, releasing his highly anticipated music video for “Get Shit Started” featuring frequent collaborators Whispers and Black Saun. The music video can be watched HERE.
On “Get Shit Started,” Gunz showcases unparalleled lyrical prowess and an infectious energy. Known for his razor-sharp lyrics and electrifying flow, Gunz delivers a bold anthem. The video, directed by W.H.Y. N.O.T Productions, shows Cory exuding an unmatched energy alongside Militia members Whispers and Dashii as they wear masks from fans’ favorite scary movies in the spirit of Halloween.
The release of “Get Shit Started,” comes off the heels of Cory’s previously released visuals for “Band 4 Band (Freestyle)” featuring RMK and “Ain’t Wit That,” featuringRMK and Pax 3. Over the summer, the Bronx native unveiled his latest project, The Militia mixtape where Cory teams up with fellow Militia members Black Saun, Qui3t, Whispers, RMK, Mulaarie and Pax3 on nine new tracks. The Militia members rap over Jersey club beats and gritty beats such as “Bout Mine” featuring Ms. Hustle and “Club & Go.” The tape also pays homage to veteran rapper-turned-podcaster N.O.R.E.‘s self-titled, debut album with the song “Head Tonight.”
The Militia mixtape comes after Cory kicked off the summer with his revered “On The Radar” Freestyle. Footage of The Militia boss’ performance grabbed the attention of fellow labelmate Drake and received rave reviews from industry peers such as A$AP Ferg, Dave East, Tony Yayo, Don Cannon and more. The freestyle was released on DSPs where it received playlisting on Spotify’s State of Mind and Frequency in addition to Apple Music’s Base:Line, BARS and Underground Hip-Hop Essentials.

About Cory Gunz
Cory Gunz is a multi-platinum-selling recording artist who is best known for delivering iron-clad East Coast bars. Gunz got his start in the music industry at age 14, by inking a deal with Tommy Mottola at Casablanca Records and Def Jam Recordings. Jay-Z then shepherded him into a joint venture through The Island Def Jam Music Group. Soon after, Gunz was on the remix of Rihanna‘s single “If It’s Lovin’ That You Want.” The Bronx native also contributed a verse on the original version of Lil Wayne‘s “A Milli” before it was replaced with new verses by Wayne for the album version.
In 2009, Gunz signed a contract with After Platinum Records. By early 2010, Gunz signed with Young Money Entertainment and Universal Motown. In 2011, Gunz got his big break when he was featured on Lil Wayne’s single “6 Foot 7 Foot.” That year, Gunz made his reality TV debut on MTV’s Son of A Gun that followed Gunz before and after he was signed by Young Money. On July 16, 2013, he released his first mixtape in two years with Datz WTF I’m Talkin Bout, which featured guest appearances by Busta Rhymes, Charlie Rock, Mack Maine, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J among others.
