Buki Ade introduced her new BFYNE collection at Paraiso Miami Beach Swim Week 2022.  Ms. Ade began with her narration of a love letter to Black women and all their virtues before the first model stepped on the runway.  Her choice of infectious tribal beats were in sync with the beautiful Black models chosen to represent the designer’s aesthetic of an African influenced catwalk.  BFYNE was introduced to Miami Swim Week for the second year by Models of Color Matter, owned by Nicole Doswell.  Ms. Doswell introduced the first all Black cast fashion show at last year’s Paraiso MBSW to celebrate an often underrepresented group of models and completed her mission once again in 2022.  BFYNE featured textiles and prints that evoke the Motherland and it was only fitting that the collection is showcased with varied shapes and hues of Black models.

Ms. Ade named BFYNE’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection “Eden” which is exemplified in the bright blues, deep greens and yellows only to be found in such a place.  The opening show model wore a deep green bikini with details only seen in a BFYNE collection, accessorized with gold jewelry and textured handbag.  The continuous onslaught of slayage did not stop as each amazing model delivered in beauty and elegant sass.
