Baby Tate is incredibly talented, and we’re so happy the world is finally catching on! Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the singer, rapper, and overall entertainer is best known for her hard stance on female empowerment, reminding folks all around the world to always work hard, stay true to yourself, and have fun while you’re doing it.
On Thursday, March 30th, Baby Tate hosted a super intimate, virtual listening party with Youtube Shorts, to preview new music including “Hey Mickey!” remix featuring Saweetie.
The irony lies in the fact that the original “Hey Mickey!” song released back in 2016. “Hey Mickey!” sees Baby Tate interpolating Toni Basil’s 1979 classic “Hey Mickey,” but delivering her own versus and adding the plot twist that Mickey is gay.
But thanks to the power and virality of TikTok, the song found a recent resurgence online… and it was only right to get one of the biggest female rappers in the game on the remix! Both artists are signed to Warner Records, so the synergy was there to begin with.
The two superstars recently linked up to shoot the video shoot, full of vibrant colors, trendy fashion-forward fits, and of course, nothing but boss babe energy!
