Anthony Langston, a multifaceted talent known for his work as an author, producer, actor, and hip-hop artist, has officially launched his latest novel Love Is Illusion. Published through his company, Langston & Artis Publishing, the release of Love Is Illusion marks a pivotal moment in Langston’s literary journey, reflecting years of dedication, creativity, and perseverance.
The novel centers around Erika Hopkins, a Golden Pages best-selling author facing the mounting pressure to deliver a new book that will cement her status in the literary world. Known for captivating audiences since her teenage years, Erika finds herself struggling with writer’s block and a looming deadline. She turns to her best friend’s complicated love life for inspiration, which leads her down an unexpected path filled with emotional twists and challenges. As the narrative progresses, love blinds Erika and those around her to the lurking dangers, ultimately forcing them to confront unforeseen challenges in their pursuit of happiness.
Langston’s creative process for Love Is Illusion is unique. Even before the novel was completed, it was adapted into a feature film, a strategic move Langston believes will maximize its impact. “I’m extremely excited because my team and I have created a feature film from this book before the book was ever published or finished. So, we can drop the novel and movie in the same year, which is a blessing,” Langston revealed. His dual-release strategy exemplifies his innovative approach to storytelling, seamlessly blending literary and cinematic narratives to engage audiences across multiple platforms.
Langston’s writing career emerged from extraordinary circumstances. During a 10-year prison sentence in North Carolina, he discovered his passion for writing and music. “I found solace in writing these novels and writing music, always knowing somewhere in freedom, God would find me a way to merge into great enough traffic to be seen after prison,” Langston shared. This period of confinement ignited a creative awakening, leading him to write over 10 novels, each carefully crafted to meet his high standards.
Now, with Love Is Illusion available and its film counterpart in post-production, Langston is poised to make a significant impact in both the literary and film industries. He plans to release his remaining novels between 2024 and 2025, further solidifying his place as a powerful voice in contemporary storytelling.
