Meagan sat down with talk show host and fellow entertainer, Jennifer Hudson on her successful daytime talk show this week. Promoting the second season of her own successful show, Harlem, on Amazon Prime, Meagan shared about her fight and faith journey to obtain the role of Camille. Not only did she seek advice from the talented and hilarious actress, Regina Hall, Meagan also spent 11 hours getting braids to fulfill the vision show creator, Tracy Oliver had for character. She went on to share that she did audition prep with her costar Grace Byers and an audition prayer with other costar, Shoniqua Shandai—”We ended up in the bathroom, like crying and praying over each other that we would both get the job“. Meagan also discussed the relationship she developed with Halle Berry over the years. The ladies share the same makeup artist, Jorge Monroy, and after her divorce Meagan shared that Halle checked with him to see “if she should reach out to me when I was going through my divorce…there was a lot of support in that.”
