Jada the Kid continues to elevate through each piece of art she creates. Find out what her “why” is.
Raised in Maryland, Jada Logan was born with oil in her veins. Coming from a family of DJs, dancers, and all-around artistic hustlers, it was clear that she would involve herself in one of art’s many genres. As a child, Jada showed little interest in Barbie dolls and babies. She could be found with a box of crayons, teaching older women to knit and crochet, or sketching portraits for $20 at local spots. Today, her work has gotten the attention of Snoop Dogg, Wesley Snipes, and her Instagram is growing by the minute. Famously known as Jada The Kid, she is taking the world of art by storm, one painting at a time.
How long have you been painting?
I’d say 2018. That’s when I really started getting into it. I went to Duke Ellington School of the Arts here in Washington, D.C. Going into my freshman year, I really didn’t have any sort of experience when it came to paint. I didn’t like it at all because I was only interested in drawing, graphics, and things like that because that’s what I did in middle school.
