On the heels of a successful UK tour to 12 venues around the country, Ailey IIpresents an Ailey All Access streaming of Alvin Ailey’s The Lark Ascending (excerpt) in conjunction with World Ballet Day 6pm ET today through November 7. World Ballet Day returns for its 10th year, giving ballet fans an inside look into dance companies around the globe. Viewers can review a schedule of events and tune in for free via here and participating companies’ social media platforms.
Beginning November 3, the next generation of dance embarks on an Italy tour to Rimini, Vicenza, Modena, Brescia and Como. Audiences will be treated to performances featuring Francesca Harper’s Freedom Series, William Forsythe’s Enemy in the Figure, Robert Battle’s The Hunt, along with Alvin Ailey’s must-see American masterpiece Revelations.
