A Legacy Rekindled

The DFW Mass Legacy Choir is a formidable ensemble, boasting nearly 100 members. Among them, 35 are original members from The DFW Mass Choir, including 20 singers, such as CEO Glenn Robertson, who have been part of the choir since its inception. Their longevity in the group is a testament to their shared passion and dedication to gospel music.

The Message Behind My Purpose

The choir’s latest single, My Purpose, penned by Carl Jerome Williams, serves as a powerful introduction to their upcoming full-length recording project, slated for release in late spring or early summer of 2025. The track is inspired by Joshua 6:1-21, which recounts the story of the Israelites’ obedience to God’s command to march around the walls of Jericho, ultimately leading to their victory. The song echoes the choir’s commitment to faith and perseverance.

The single includes a choir version, an instrumental rendition, and a live video performance, all captured by the talented Billion Shot It. The lead vocals on My Purpose are delivered by Horace Morgan, whose soul-stirring voice breathes life into the message of divine purpose and triumph.

A Groundbreaking New Sound: My Purpose (Rap Edition)

While My Purpose already stands as a deeply moving gospel anthem, the DFW Mass Legacy Choir is taking a bold step forward with My Purpose (Rap Edition), set to release on March 21, 2025. This groundbreaking fusion of traditional gospel choir arrangements with old-school and new-school rap presents an innovative way to connect with younger generations while maintaining the essence of Sunday morning church music.

Inspired by a vision given to Glenn Robertson in 2024, this version features the dynamic rap trio Sons of DFDUB, consisting of DeAngelo, Nick, and Glenn Jr. Their hard-hitting yet faith-driven lyrics bring a fresh perspective to the timeless message of purpose and obedience to God’s will.
