After defeating the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs 40–22, the Philadelphia Eagles have won the 2025 Super Bowl. After losing to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, the victory is the first for the quarterback-coaching tandem of Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni. Kansas City’s hopes of becoming the first team to win three straight Super Bowls unfortunately didn’t happen this time around with the defeat. The Eagles’ outstanding defense and Hurts’ composed, effective performance were the highlights of Philadelphia’s second Super Bowl victory in franchise history. Cooper DeJean intercepted a pass in the second quarter and returned it for a touchdown as the Eagles caused three turnovers and kept the Chiefs to 225 total yards.

Hurts concluded the game with two passing touchdowns and 221 yards through the air, going 17-of-22. He also ran for a Tush Push rushing touchdown and 72 yards, which is a new quarterback Super Bowl record. Saquon Barkley finished with 31 touches and 97 total yards, including 57 on the ground. In addition to two interceptions and a lost fumble, Patrick Mahomes threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns, most of which came after the Eagles had the game in the bag. In his six career Super Bowl starts, he is presently 3-3. Way to fly eagles!
