A match made in heaven, Daiyaana Muhammed and Sebastien Day are the dynamic duo to watch individually and together. Muhammed, a mother, high-fashion model, and pediatric emergency nurse, was recently awarded the prestigious title of Rising Star in Healthcare and Fashion at the Glamour BG Women of the Year Gala in Sofia, Bulgaria. The award was presented by her stylist, Sebastien Day, marking a monumental moment for the two.

The annual event celebrates women who are changing the world with their talent, courage, and unyielding inspiration. For Muhammed, it was a chance to showcase the intersection of healthcare and fashion, proving that feminine strength can take many forms.

“It was an incredible honor to be named as one of Glamour BG’s Women of the Year,” said Muhammed. “I’m truly grateful for the recognition and I’m excited for my continued work with Glamour BG and what’s to come in the near future.”

Day, a celebrity stylist with a roster that includes Lil Pump, Murda Beatz, and The Clermont Twins, began his fashion journey at Neiman Marcus. He discovered his passion for styling while helping a bridal party prepare for their big day, captivated by the transformative power of his work.

Muhammed first met Day during a family photoshoot and was immediately drawn to his raw talent and work ethic. “I was captivated by Sebastien’s go-getter attitude and how he thinks so quickly on his feet,” she said. “Watching him work was incredible.”

While Day typically works with artists, collaborating with Muhammed offered a refreshing change. “Daiyaana wanted to play more in the editorial world, which I felt was a great way to showcase art and beauty outside of what I usually do,” said Day.

The duo’s creative chemistry was on full display during the Glamour BG Gala, where they collaborated to ensure Muhammed’s look was unforgettable. Reflecting on a behind-the-scenes moment before the event, Day recalled the last-minute scramble to choose the perfect dress, “It was so stressful, but we narrowed it down and found the one that really made heads turn while making her truly feel like woman of the year.”

For Muhammed, the recognition at Glamour BG highlights just one facet of her multifaceted career. In addition to her nursing degree, she is a certified reformer Pilates instructor and a passionate advocate for mental health and self-care.

“I’m at a point now where I’m no longer separating my ties to healthcare and the fashion industry,” said Muhammed. “I plan to continue using my platform to educate my audience on balancing mental health and careers while avoiding burnout and putting themselves first.”

Muhammed and Day’s partnership goes beyond just styling; it’s a testament to how creativity, authenticity, and shared vision can lead to unforgettable moments. Their work together at the Glamour BG Gala showcases the power of collaboration, leaving a lasting impact.
