With all the things happening across the nation, the African Black Film Festival is still making big moves in preparation for its 7th annual ABFF Honors taking place on February 17, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. Jeff and Nicole Friday, the owners of NICE CROWD have created a strong force of pride for the stories created and told on screen that uplift and encourage the world. For twenty-eight years, this dynamic duo has elevated the standard of creativity in the film space by creating space for storytellers to be seen.

This tribute is a testament to perseverance and collective effort, and we are proud to uplift Altadena’s story as a source of inspiration for generations to come.”
The honorees for this year’s ABFF include the legendary actress Marla Gibbs, Keke Palmer, and the heart throb Aaron Pierre just to name a few,
“We are thrilled to honor the incomparable Marla Gibbs with the Hollywood Legacy Award, recognize the emerging talent of Aaron Pierre with the Rising Star Award, and celebrate the community of Altadena at this year’s ABFF Honors,” said NICE CROWD CEO and President Jeff and Nicole Friday. “Marla’s groundbreaking career has inspired countless aspiring actors and creatives, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry with her talent, grace, and dedication. We are equally delighted to recognize Aaron Pierre, a rising star whose powerful performances exemplify the next generation of storytelling excellence.”
