As the curtain rises on the highly anticipated theatrical presentation, “The Trilogy – JESUS: The I Am,” we sit down with the creative mind behind this inspiring production, L. Tricie Hendrix. She shares insights into the artistic journey, the heart of the play, and the impact she hoped to make on audiences.

What inspired you to write and produce this particular play, and how does your faith play a role in the storytelling?

L. Tricie Hendrix: I had a dream where God told me to create a production that simplified the Trinity. He wanted me to convey to His people that we love them just because we do. My writing comes from my personal relationship with Him, and the love I feel fuels my faith and trust in Him.

Can you give us a synopsis of the play?

L. Tricie Hendrix: Absolutely! This dynamic production showcases a family’s encounter with JESUS through music and dance. Audiences will be enlightened and uplifted, encouraged to explore and enhance their personal time with JESUS. It’s a thrilling depiction of the love of one part of the Trinity that invites everyone to laugh, dance, and fall in love.

Tell us about the team you worked with in bringing this play to life. How did you choose your collaborators?

L. Tricie Hendrix: I collaborated with two different teams from my church community and my creative arts company. In the vision I received, God guided me on who to select, ensuring that each person brought their unique gifts to the project.

What impact do you hope this play will have on the community or on individuals who watch it?

L. Tricie Hendrix: I hope it instills a sense of purpose and acceptance. I want people to feel inspired to pursue their God-given talents and, most importantly, to feel loved by Him.

How does your work in the arts serve as a platform for expressing your faith?

L. Tricie Hendrix: My work connects people with their God-given talents and pushes them to execute their art beyond the limitations of man or even their own thoughts. It’s about creating a space where faith and creativity can flourish together.

Are there any future projects or themes you’re eager to explore that blend your entrepreneurial spirit with your passion for theater?

L. Tricie Hendrix: Yes! “The Trilogy” is a three-part production. After this installment, we will present “Holy Spirit, My Breath” in June, followed by “God, My Creator” in December, which will conclude the trilogy.

What advice would you give to other faith-based entrepreneurs and artists looking to create meaningful work?

L. Tricie Hendrix: Look to the God who creates; He is my ultimate inspiration. Trust in your vision and allow your faith to guide you as you express your creativity.

What do you hope audiences take away from this experience?

L. Tricie Hendrix: I hope they leave feeling uplifted and inspired to deepen their relationship with Jesus. I want them to feel the joy and love that comes from this encounter and carry that into their everyday lives.
