Why is it so important for boss women to take care of their mental health?

Tracie: Mental health is a significant issue. It’s crucial for women, particularly those in leadership roles, to prioritize self-care as they often prioritize the needs of others. Without attending to their own well-being first, individuals cannot effectively care for and lead others. Boss women must prioritize their mental health to navigate challenges, maintain resilience, and lead with clarity and strength. Doing so enables them to fulfill their responsibilities with effectiveness and compassion, aligning with their purpose.

Please provide 3 things women can do immediately to help their mental state?

Tracie:

1.  Know who you are and your purpose on this earth. Understand your values and what you bring to the world. Embrace your authentic self and honor your uniqueness.

2. Practice self-care rituals: Dedicate time each day to activities that rejuvenate your mind and body, such as meditation, praying, journaling, or taking a relaxing bath. Self-care is essential for maintaining mental well-being.

3.Set boundaries and prioritize time for yourself: Learn to say no to commitments that drain your energy and create space for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. Setting boundaries allows you to protect your mental and emotional health.

Why is quitting not an option?

Tracie: As leaders, we don’t abandon our mission, our team, or our dreams. Quitting means turning our backs on the lives we impact and the legacy we’re building. Greatness comes from pushing through pain, embracing struggle, and overcoming obstacles. Challenges are opportunities to grow stronger and more resilient. The path to success is tough, but those who refuse to quit achieve greatness. Stay hungry, stay driven, and keep fighting. Quitting is not an option because our purpose and impact are too important to abandon. God has placed me on a mission to pour into the communities I serve, just as my community has poured into me. This is why we rise, why we lead, and why we never give up.

Tell us about your nonprofit and why you started it

Tracie: Legacy Village Inc. was born from a deeply personal journey rooted in the belief that exposure and community impact are transformative forces. As the founder, I embarked on this mission because I intimately understand the power of these elements in shaping lives. Growing up, I experienced firsthand the profound impact of exposure to diverse experiences and the unwavering support of my community. Their investment in me, coupled with my dedication to addressing the needs of my community, inspired the creation of Legacy Village Inc. Today, our nonprofit stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, dedicated to providing essential programs and initiatives that uplift underserved teenagers, seniors, and small businesses. Just as my community poured into me, Legacy Village strives to pour back into our community, fostering a legacy of resilience, growth, and empowerment for all.
