From the pulpit to the public, the quest for knowledge is ever-growing. Knowledge without effective understanding can take its toll on one’s faith and ability to navigate through the day-to-day tasks of life. Recently, SHEEN Magazine had the pleasure to sit and speak with Apostle Tarishan Winder to discuss just how her ministries and programs help strengthen those on the quest for a higher faith and wish to activate their favor.

SHEEN: Being interviewed and appointed is a task. When did you first learn you were called for a higher purpose?

Tarishan Winder: In my early twenties, I began to see my life unfold spiritually. However, in 2022, I experienced a profound revelation: God had called me to a purpose far greater than I had previously understood.

SHEEN: When dealing in ministry, you have a huge responsibility. People are following under your leadership in some capacity. What would you say is most important to you when walking in your purpose?

Tarishan Winder: What is most important to me when walking in my purpose is ensuring that I bring glory to God’s name and not reproach.

SHEEN: Let’s get into that for a moment. Purpose. Acts of service are key. What would you say are the core values of your ministry?

Tarishan Winder: The core values of my ministry are fortitude, prophetic action, integrity, spiritual astuteness, and grace. These principles guide our actions, decisions, and interactions, ensuring that we remain steadfast, true to our calling, and compassionate in our service to others.

SHEEN: At times, there can be a misconception that those in ministry are perfect or without flaws. Have you ever felt any type of pressure to uphold a certain image?

Tarishan Winder: In my early years, I felt pressure, primarily because I was living by my work and the image I had in my head. Now, I have grown to love God more intimately and aim to please Him rather than man.

SHEEN: When you think of your ministry, your calling, and the work that needs to be done, what community goals do you want to tackle?

Tarishan Winder: When I think of my ministry, my calling, and the work that needs to be done, I aim to target domestic violence, substance addiction, and women’s empowerment. These are the community goals I am committed to addressing through my ministry.

SHEEN: Let’s discuss “Beyond the Veil.” Tell our readers exactly what this is and how they can participate.

Tarishan Winder: “Beyond the Veil” is an initiative designed to help individuals deepen their spiritual lives and connect more profoundly with their faith. The focus is on exploring spiritual truths, fostering personal growth, and cultivating a closer relationship with God. Participants can engage in a variety of teachings, including workshops and seminars, live streaming, discussions, and prayer and meditation.

SHEEN: Let’s do a deep dive into the Proverbs 31 woman. What does she look like? What does she do?

Tarishan Winder: The Proverbs 31 woman is a paragon of virtue, embodying strength, wisdom, and kindness. Her life serves as a powerful model of how to live with purpose and integrity, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps. She is a woman with an extraordinary ability to multitask. Her spirit is sound and kind. She takes care of her household and shares the weight of her family responsibilities with her husband. Her children recognize the value of her sacrifices, and everyone around her aspires to be like her.

SHEEN: What’s your favorite scripture that you can share that gets you through tough moments?

Tarishan Winder: My favorite scripture that gets me through tough moments is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse reminds me that, no matter the challenges I face, I have the strength and support of Christ to overcome them.

SHEEN: What’s up next for you and the ministry?

Tarishan Winder: I recently published a 40-day devotional trio set and am currently working on book #3, along with other “Gold Nuggets” publications. My goal is to brand the platform “Table Top” and mobilize Global Empowerment Ministries.

Tarishan is a great example of walking by faith, as she has been abundantly blessed due to her obedience to answer her calling in her purpose. What’s your purpose? Have you thought about it? More importantly, are you ready to activate it and walk in it? Let us know. We wish you a purposeful walk.
