T.I. Harris was honored during an exclusive celebration that highlighted the 20 year anniversary of “The King of the South” TIP Harris, and his “Trap Muzik” album release. Celebrities, music executives, family, and media joined TIP to celebrate in the biggest way during a private dinner. TI’s children performed some of his biggest hits and sung his praises before industry friends, executives, media, and family. The gathering spot was decked in T.I.’s most popular album covers, photoshoots, and iconic career moments throughout the venue.
Local leaders and fellow artists in the trap music genre came together to celebrate T.I. The cultural shift in hip-hop marked by the emergence of trap music in 2003 was notably influenced by his album. In acknowledgment of his artistic accomplishments, T.I. received a Congressional Proclamation from U.S. Representative Nikema Williams.
The guest of honor received applause from his family, including his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris and their seven children. Notable figures like fellow trap artists Young Dro and Yung Joc, along with the city’s native DJs and media titans, joined in the celebration. Recognized as the hub of southern rap, Atlanta showered substantial praise on this influential figure for his role in the genre’s historical ascent.
Following the landmark event, Williams’ office issued an additional statement, further commemorating T.I. ‘s musical excellence during this pivotal year in rap’s legacy.
The celebration didn’t end there, immediately following they hosted an afterparty that included delicious lite bites, full bar and well crafted cocktails, and an evening of infinite vibes!
