On July 1, 2022, President Joe Biden named the seventeen recipients for the Presidential Medal of Freedom. One of the recipients being Actor, Denzel Washington. Given its background, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor that is presented to individuals who have made contributions to the prosperity, values or security of the United State, world peace, etc. As a believer in giving back, Washington has been known to support charities and foundations for quiet some time. It shows that his choices to receive a metal such as this one is to be viewed through gratitude as well as acknowledging the good, he has put out into the world. Like all of the other recipients’ who too will be receiving such an high honor, it is well deserved.
