The 2022 NAACP Awards took place this past weekend and the awards were plenty.

Jennifer Hudson won both the prestigious Entertainer of the Year and Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture trophies at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards, which were broadcast on Sunday night. Will Smith won Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, and “The Harder They Fall” took home the award for Outstanding Motion Picture. During the non-televised NAACP Image Awards this week, several more winners were announced. Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is one of them.

Doria Ragland, Meghan Markle’s mother, attended the 53rd annual NAACP Image Awards on Saturday with her daughter and Prince Harry. Meghan and Harry accepted the NAACP’s President’s Award for their philanthropy. At the conclusion of her acceptance speech at the BET Awards, the Duchess of Sussex acknowledged her mother.

“Thank you so much for joining us in this work, and thank you again for this incredible honor, truly. My mom’s here with us tonight and we all feel very proud. Thank you,” she ended.
