The 2021 American Music Awards has just revealed their host and it’s none other than Cardi B!
The rapper is set to make her hsoting debut on Sunday, November 21st.
In a press release, Cardi said, “When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited.”
Adding, “I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen.”
Cardi B has five American Music Award trophies and made history last year for becoming the first female rapper to win in the Favorite Song – Rap/Hip-Hop category TWICE! She’s also performed with Bad Bunny and J Balvin in 2018.
Last year, Taraji P. Henson did the honor of hosting the event.
This year, Olivia Rodrigo has seven nominations, while The Weeknd has six. Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, and GIVĒON each earned five a piece.
Tune into the 2021 American Music Awards from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21st at 8 PM EST on ABC.
